Mr Arzoglou was very attentive to my problems. He initiated x-rays, scans and other thorough examinations and tests in order to pinpoint the causes of my pain and reduced dexterity. Having eliminated spinal degeneration as the root of my particular problem, he referred me to the Neurologist, who I will be seeing in ten days time. At all times Mr Arzoglou explained his actions clearly, and in terms which were easy to comprehend. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

I saw mr Arzoglou for a consultation on 17th October with regards to my spine and legs problem. He fully explained the MRI scan to me and recommended two options for treatment. This will be on going for me. I was really reassured with his explanation and reassurance to achieve a good result. I would certainly recommend him to anyone suffering back problems.

From the first time I met Mr Arzoglou he made me feel at ease. He answered all my questions and he never rushed me out of the door. He talked me through the surgery and told me all the pros and cons of it leaving me fully informed and ready to make the decision to go ahead. On the day of my surgery the nursing staff that booked me in were fantastic. It was all done quickly making it less stressful then it could have been (especially Paul who even gave me a hug when I told him I was nervous) Mr Arzoglou then came to see me for a quick chat and settled my nerves. The morning after he came to see me by 8.30am to see how I was and to tell me how the procedure went which was great. I was allowed to go home later that day and that is my only real concern. Whilst i felt ok that day the next day I was in horrific pain and i believe that had i still been in hospital my pain relief would have been sorted out. Instead my daughter spent a lot of time worried sick and on the phone to the hospital (who were very helpful) asking for their advise and eventually she managed to help relieve the pain. When I went back for my follow up appt with Mr Arzoglou I almost skipped into the room.... Before the surgery I could hardly walk and couldn't sit or even bend down without struggling but after a few weeks I felt like a new woman. Not quite 100% better but at least 85% Mr Arzoglou is a fantastic consultant and if I ever had to have surgery again(hopefully never) I would without question want him to do it and i'd highly recommend him to anyone.

I was reffered to Spire for my chronic back pain caused by prolapsed discs, to see Mr Vaileios Arzoglou. I was expecting to dicuss the option of needles in my spine, as thats what my doctor informed me would happen. During my appointment, Mr Arzoglou did everything in his power to track down my spinal MRI. He then asked if it would be alright if he arranged an MRI there an then so he had an up to date view of my spine. He went out of his way to make sure it happened immediately. He then asked me not to leave until he had looked over the results. After looking at the images, he called me back into his office. He explained that surgery would benefit me more then anything, and, after asking my permisstion, rang straight through to Hull Royal, sorted all the paperwork, and gave me the details of the exact floor and ward to go to when i arrived. He explained that they were waiting for me. After 10 years of suffering, it was such a suprise, and a relief, that someone finally took me seriously. I had the surgery and now feel the best ive felt in a long time, more mobile and in less pain in doing everyday things. Its still early days, but the pain is getting less with each week that passes. I could'nt of asked for a better man to see. Myself and my fiancee are so greatful to this man, and would highly reccomend people to ask his advice as he is so honest and will do everything in his power to help you.

Mr Arzoglou's team treated me as an outpatient at Hull Royal Infirmary when I developed a chronic subdural haematoma. The two treatments available for the condition were explained to me together with the advantages and disadvantages of each. I cannot fault the treatment which followed which avoided the necessity to undergo an operation. I was shown the two scans which had be done of my head and all my questions were answered immediately and concisely. Three months later I had an appointmemt with Mr Arzoglou himself before discharge. He answered all my questions in a pleasant and friendly manner. Although it was probably unnecessary I would have felt more confident if I had had a final scan to show that the haematoma had disappeared. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Arzoglou and his team.
